Colts fans team up with the army to take a bite out of homelessness!

A day of sunshine, a sea of blue and fresh apples from Adrian Orchards made for a great start of the Salvation Army’s campaign to end homelessness. As the lunchtime crowd mingled with Colts fans who showed up to kick off this year’s football season, many took advantage of the offer for a free healthy snack and a chance to help those who have more to worry about than just fun and games.

Our crew handed out dozens of those cute little white boxes to an enthusiastic crowd with the hopes of seeing them return filled on October 1 in exchange for a scrumptious serving of apple cobbler. All of the proceeds from Apple Fest at Monument Circle will go to serve the needs of the women and children at the army’s shelter.

Get your “Bite Back” box at any Salvation Army location. Gather up your spare change and bring it to the Apple Fest for a tasty treat. Be a part of the effort to end homelessness in Indiana.
